There are about sixty singers in the choir, which was founded in November 1969 by Paul and Jacqueline Emery. The following year they performed their first carol concert in the Assembly Hall, Worthing, and the choir celebrates its 40th anniversary in November 2009. The choir prides itself on its varied repertoire. They sing carols at Christmas, oratorios and anthems at Easter, and show music, madrigals and popular songs in the summer. The Singers have been on several tours, both in England and abroad.
